FBH Honors Christina Samulevich with Eagle Award for Heroic and Compassionate Actions
(Franklin, Tennessee) – In July 2025, Freedom Behavioral Health, Inc. (FBH) honored Christina Samulevich with its Eagle Award for her compassion in assisting an officer experiencing a mental health crisis.
Freedom Behavioral Health is proud to promote the commendable actions and efforts of the individuals working in the correctional field. According to a study published in the Journal of Injury and Violence Research, it only takes 5% of a workload involving violent or traumatic events to create a stress response.
Christina showed outstanding compassion at a juvenile detention center by providing crisis support to a correctional officer experiencing a mental health emergency. With calm professionalism, she helped create an immediate action plan, ensuring the officer was taken to a local hospital for appropriate care.
The Eagle Award is FBH’s most prestigious award and one of the highest honors a behavioral health professional/partner can be given. Christina Samulevich’s ability to lead with both empathy and clarity during moments of intense emotional impact exemplifies the spirit of the Eagle Award and the highest standards of service in behavioral health. Christina received this award during a presentation in July 2025.
