FBH Honors Honey Sternberg with Eagle Award for Exceptional Leadership in Occupational Health

(Franklin, Tennessee) – In June 2025, Freedom Behavioral Health, Inc. (FBH) honored Honey Sternberg with its Eagle Award for her exceptional courage, integrity, and dedication in the area of occupational health.

According to Mental Health America, “Nearly 1 in 5 American adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition in any given year.” Freedom Behavioral Health is proud to promote the commendable actions and efforts of the individuals working in this important field.

Honey Sternberg is a Certified Occupational Health Manager with a background in psychology and professional counseling, bringing over 9 years of experience in trauma-focused care and community mental health programming. Certified in both Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and as a Correctional Health Care Professional (CCHP), she has dedicated her career to suicide prevention and mental health education for law enforcement, first responders, and community groups.

Honey has been instrumental in supporting professionals during crises by offering calm and compassionate guidance through emotionally challenging situations. In one notable instance, she provided critical leadership and debriefing services to a grieving community after a tragic incident involving young children. She stepped in at a time when others were unable to continue.

The Eagle Award is FBH’s most prestigious award and one of the highest honors a behavioral health professional/partner can be given. Honey Sternberg’s ability to lead with both heart and clarity during moments of intense emotional impact exemplifies the spirit of the Eagle Award and the highest standards of service in behavioral health. Honey received this award during a presentation in June 2025.
